Our vision is for all children to engage in a welcoming, inclusive, and flexible play-based learning environment, which promotes connections to the natural world.
Netley Kindergarten is located 7.5kms away from the Adelaide CBD. The kindy premises is on the land of Kaurna people, in the City of West Torrens Council. The Joe Wells Reserve is adjacent to the kindergarten, and was previously designed by the children for the community, in consultation with the City of West Torrens, and Climbing Trees.
The kindergarten is surrounded by a large nature play based area.The outside environment has; a sand pit area, mud kitchen, swing area, native bushland area, and a beautiful butterfly garden. We welcome parents into the centre to participate in planning, sharing their skill sets, and joining our Governing Council. Parents are invited to join excursions, to encourage interest and engagement in the learning program of their child.
Session Times
Starting preschool and school are important early steps on a child’s journey through their education. From 2023 South Australia will have the two intakes; one at the beginning of term 1, and one at the beginning of term 3.
Netley Kindergarten has 2 separate groups of children attending each week. Children can attend Mondays/Tuesdays OR Wednesdays/Thursdays. Each group will alternate Fridays.
From 2024, Netley Kindergarten session times are from 8:15am until 2:45pm. Each group will alternate a Friday session once a fortnight from 8:15am-12:15.

We also have access to additional staff through the Preschool Support Program and Bilingual Support Program.
Costs
As of 2023 Kindergarten costs are $185 per term with an additional termly $15 Quality Improvement Charge which covers the cost of fundraising, equalling $210 per child per term. A $10 incursion/ excursion levy is built into the $210 kindy termly contributions to cover part of these learning experiences. With the approval of the Governing Council Netley Kindergarten has two major fundraisers each year.
